Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TriggrLead is a WhatsApp automation platform for eCommerce stores, operated by Atharva Diwan. We help Shopify and WooCommerce merchants automate cart recovery, order tracking, and customer support via WhatsApp. Our contact email is atharva@triggrlead.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect data in two contexts: data from merchants who sign up to use TriggrLead, and data from their customers that passes through our platform.

Merchant data:

  • Name, business name, and email address provided during onboarding
  • Shopify or WooCommerce store URL and API credentials (stored encrypted)
  • WhatsApp Business Account details linked through Meta's API
  • Billing information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details)

End-customer data (your store's customers):

  • WhatsApp phone numbers used to send automated messages
  • Order IDs, cart contents, and order status (pulled from your store)
  • Conversation messages exchanged with the TriggrLead agent
  • Opt-in / opt-out preferences for WhatsApp communications

3. How we use data

  • To deliver the TriggrLead service: sending WhatsApp messages, tracking orders, recovering abandoned carts.
  • To improve the platform: aggregated, anonymised analytics on message open rates and conversation flows.
  • To communicate with merchants: onboarding, product updates, billing notices.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to any third party.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where applicable under GDPR or similar regulations, we process data on the following bases:

  • Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests — platform security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
  • Legal obligation — compliance with applicable laws.
  • Consent — for end-customers receiving WhatsApp messages, consent is obtained through opt-in mechanisms compliant with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy.

5. Data retention

Conversation logs and customer data are retained for up to 12 months from the last interaction, or until a merchant account is closed, whichever comes first. Merchants may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

6. Third-party services

We share data only with the following categories of sub-processors, under contractual data protection terms:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — message delivery infrastructure.
  • Shopify / WooCommerce — store data integration.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and data storage (servers located in the EU/US).
  • Payment processors — billing only; no customer data is shared.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing)

8. Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the site to function (e.g., session state). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API credentials and sensitive tokens are stored encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated to merchants via email at least 14 days before taking effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
